The students build the LEWIS sensor on the train to Santa Fe and measured the train's movement!
A group of 26 students with the help of mentors from SMILab at the University of New Mexico learned how to build the LEWIS sensor on the train. They measured the train's movement while they were on the train to Santa Fe. This activity helped was a valuable opportunity for students to familiar with new technologies that can be useful in the future of the railroad and build up their careers as a railroader of the mid-century.
Thanks to the school of engineering and Elsa!
